The powerful and long-term effectiveness of the Subordination of Teaching to Learning is reflected in the graphs, below. Avoiding an emphasis on test prep and conditioning students to respond in a pre-determined, narrow manner, the approach supports their establishing a deep understanding of content, which assures strong mastery of subject matter, while preserving their love of learning.

2018-19 Math & ELA State Test Results
The materials and approach available through ABLe were implemented at the Bronx Charter Schools for Better Learning (BBL). Above, the two charts compare the pre-pandemic percentages of BBL students passing the NY State Math & ELA exams to a wide range of groups, most notably the overall average subset of the most wealthy school districts in New York State.
